Cincinnati would accept the ACC offer in a New York minute!

Just for the record, what was your opinion 24 months ago on Navy's ability to compete at THIS level?
I mean we've got two straight offseasons full of predictions of Navy struggling for .500 at this level...

Navy has been a pleasant surprise, however they would get too beat up playing in an SEC or B1G.

What? How much better was the Big East Navy was set to join compared to the current AAC? It was better but not too much better.

From a geographic standpoint, the ACC is MUCH better than the AAC. Louisville is an 1.5 hour drive. Notre Dame is 4 hours away. Pitt is a 5 hour drive. We miss the rivalry with Louisville and Pitt. A Cincinnatian can drive to the North Carolina state line in just over 4 hours and all the Carolina schools are a day's drive. The Virginia schools are a 6-7 hour drive. Clemson isn't that much farther. UC used to be conference mates with VA Tech, Louisville, Pitt, and Florida State, and with Notre Dame for basketball.
The only geographic outliers are Miami and Boston College.

Out: Rutgers, Louisville, Boise STate, SDSU, (TBA)
In: ECU, Tulane, Tulsa.
And of course, the league NAvy signed up for was going to get ALL TEH MONEYZ.

Wasn't Navy set to join Louisville, Rutgers, Cincinnati, UConn, and USF plus Boise, SDSU, SMU, Houston, UCF, Memphis, and Temple?
That is a better conference and more difficult schedule than the current AAC lineup - whether looking through 2011 or 2017 perspective. Remove Tulane and Tulsa and replace with Louisville and Boise St....

That's funny because Rutgers was routed badly at home by Houston, who finished in fourth place.

Oh please, only Boise and Louisville were teams they should miss. Rutgers is a major but mediocre at best. SDSU was not great and still isn't winning the weak side of the MWC and then beating a Wyoming team they lost to before beating UH without a coaching staff.
That league was better but not much better.
