#52- Chad Williams (90-94)
Chad Williams, who was the long snapper for Joe Allison in his Lou Groza winning season, passed away today at Vanderbilt's Trauma Center. Chad sustained a major head injury at work last Tuesday after a fall from a flatbed truck. Chad was one of my best friends and one of the most intelligent human beings I've ever known. Please keep his wife, four kids and his parents and teammates in your thoughts and prayers. This one has hit Tiger Football extremely hard. Thanks in advance.

My prayer has been sent for Chad and his family. I'm not preaching because I'm not the type but know that God is all forgiving and if you are in a state of sin then confess them and ask for forgiveness and it will be granted to you. You never know when you may be taken from this life. I had an extremely close call myself and it certainly makes you look at things differently after an experience like that.

Hate to hear this news, Rob. I know you, his teammates and his family are hurting. I saw where services are this Saturday at Thompson Station Church.

I knew him all of those years and will attest what a fine fellow he was. Very smart and funny in a dry understated way. He and Jake Linville from the same year, were both two of the best guys and just finest people I met in all my years in school. This is a very sad time indeed.
