Tubby has offered the two Memphis kids who are in the top 100 and is actively recruiting them.

I'm surprised that Harris didn't make top 100.

I would be thrilled if Tubby lands them.

His ranking on your beloved 247 hasn't changed much. I would be happy signing him because we don't seem to be in on anyone ranked higher.

If Tubby manages to pull off a miracle and find players ranked in the top 100, I hope we sign them AND Lomax to be what he should be; a serviceable backup who isn't expected to carry the load until at least his junior season.

But feel free to continue to not have a grasp of a simple position that I have had since the beginning, and pounce when you feel that you have some sort of imagined opening.

They don't refresh the composite instantly.

It's gonna be awhile before we know what Lomax wants to do . . . And hopefully the team is playing well in the first half of the season Bc a big part of his decision is going to be what he'll have around him. If we are in the toilet (to our standards) look for him to go else where.

I will be shocked if we don't land Lomax. I believe the staff has given 100% in his recruitment.

2018 has a decent class with in a tank of gas of campus itself. Maybe even top 20 class. Have we approached Woodard out of Columbus?

I hope you are correct. I was just saying that bc the kid has said that him coming to Memphis isn't a given and it will depend on how they play this year and what kinda players will be around him. I honestly don't think that bodes well but again I hope you are correct. He won't contribute right away and prob not too much in his Soph season but he should be a solid 4 year guy, someone for Martin to pass (no pun intended) the reins to.

I did search this forum. there has been some mention of him. Anyone have any recent info?

Team Penny. Has stated that he's a Florida lean but said things could change during the summer period. I think Pooh is the primary recruiter.

Do you guys really think an AAC program has the luxury of taking a 4-star #78 player and sitting him on the bench until his junior year? Come on, guys. Of course we will count on him from Day 1. His composite score is currently most similar to Robert Dozier, Chris Crawford and Markel Crawford - when you look at our listing of players over the years. Those guys were players from their first season.

So you think he comes in and in year one takes over the PG role from Martin? Not going to happen and I'm not even saying that Lomax isn't the better player but that's just not gonna happen.

So you think a 4-star and possible highest rated kid in the AAC is going to sit? Not going to happen. But I agree Martin won't sit either. Martin slide to the 2? Many have often commented that he's not a pure PG.

No I don't think he's going to sit but he will play the back up role and log prob close to 20mins a game . . . Nothing wrong with that.

Lomax and Martin can be on the floor at the same time.
