I can't wait to chug a beer around a bunch of Mormons.

Chug away. It won't bother this Mormon!

We'd prefer chugging a beer "with", but you've got your whole thing, and we respect that. Either way, you guys are certainly welcome at our tailgate for food or alternative beverages.

I've been watching "Hell on Wheels" and the Mormons & Brigham Young have been a focus of the 4th season. Crazy stuff. They were some tough hombres.

We did it last year with a much weaker team. It'll be a fun game down there. And finally ArkSt. at home will be the make or break game for this season. Win that one and we will be bowling.
You do realize what was going on around the UH program at the time, don't you? It wasn't very much of a secret. The fact that SMU was so weak (are they ever strong?) pretty much validates what was going on. But, hey, yeah the Coogs fans will have a lot of fun feasting on pony meat this next season.

Yes we are all aware your coach was looking at LSU and Texas. Well, our coach was looking at Baylor too.

Good luck with that. We all know that Houston was the very best 4th place team in the division cuz distractions.

ECU was easily the best team in the East if you don't count the losses that involved a chance of rain over 5%, cuz precipitation maybe.

ECU @Houston and @Memphis - Also been a while. Haven't played either since we switched conferences. Looking forward to seeing how much truth there is to the "these are completely different teams" stuff I keep seeing.

Shouldn't have fired Ruffin, those were the games the program rose to the occasion for under his and Holtz direction.

I'm inclined to give it a minute. The lull from the coaching change should pay dividends in stepped up recruiting.

Also, keep in mind that Skip lost his first game against VT (in his 3rd year at ECU), and Ruff lost his first 3 matchups against them. And Skip lost to WVU 3 times before finally winning the 4th.

Temple v Navy, American Championship rematch.
Temple v Army, revenge game for The Owls against a much improved Army team.
Temple v USF. I know, I know, no one wants to be Temple's rival, but these two teams have been battling for the East title the last two years and should do so again this year.

Yes, I've often thought Temple and ECU could be a great football rivalry. We knocked y'all out of the top 20 a few years ago, that must have stung. Rivalries need stuff like that to feeter and grow. Maybe this year y'all knock us out of 1st place in the East?

This conference does have a way of spoiling its own fortune. South Florida will go undefeated through most of the season, then lose to a 2-win Cincinnati. Memphis will magically beat UCLA, but then lose at home to Tulane.

Can't wait for the show.
