SEASON TICKETS SOLD?
any idea how many season tickets have been sold? I know they were wanting to try and get 10K. Just saw on twitter Memphis has sold 8,400. So, 10k would be great. I think we would be over 5,000.

The fact that they haven't mentioned a number probably means the number is low. I think doubling our prior season ticket numbers would be a good starting point for the return, but even if we have accomplished that, it still puts the total number of season tickets under 5k.

The CSS report had us at 6,233 in 2014. How many tickets was the City buying then? https://twitter.com/RaymondEReeves/statu...81/photo/1

I can't remember if it was McGee's first year or Callaway's last, but whichever it was I was told that we had under 2k non-corporate/city season tickets sold.

RE: SEASON TICKETS SOLD?
Let us not forget that with the size of Legion Field there is no real need to purchase season tickets - especially for the typical fan who may have real or imagined ties to Auburn or Alabama. There's no real benefit to it. There is virtually no way it will sell out. While many have bought season tickets as a show of support, including myself, they could easily just show up and pretty much sit where they want to. A newer, smaller stadium (downtown or OCS) would obviously make season tickets more desirable. In UAB's case tickets-sold is a much better barometer for all attendance-related questions...

the obvious benefits of being a season-ticket holder will come when/if we get a new stadium. The higher up on the list you are, the better your seat selection.

With a new smaller stadium, we can expect a ticket purchase premium program to be added as UAB already does for tickets at Bartow Arena. The quality of location of the tickets you get will be determined by the size of the donation check that arrives with your order. Nearly every school now has such a premium charge for its major revenue sports. If one can write the big donation check, one can jump toward the front of the line, so to speak.

And the premium charge for better season tickets is not tax deductible.

RE: SEASON TICKETS SOLD?
I was told about a month ago that we had almost doubled the previous high for season tickets sold.
