Yep, that sounds accurate.

What's Golliday have to do with a perennially injured player being rookie of the year. Right now Moten has a better chance.

The original poster had linked to a Titanswire column that mentioned Corey as a possible ROTY, this wasn't driven by a Bronco poster's speculation. The next couple posters said cautionary things like "the key is (him staying) healthy" and "but there's going to be huge learning curve."

So if there's a Slappy out there, I suppose it's Titans beat writer Kyle Madson.

48 tweets 2 months

48 in two months is microscopically small.

There are 500 million tweets per day (link).

Anyone's guess how many of those are football related. But over a 2-month period, it's got to be easily in the tens of millions.

If beat writers want access they're always going to be homers. Plus, its human nature to believe something unseen is bigger than life. I'm sure he'll be productive "once" he gets on the field, but putting him in the Hall of Fame before he's played a down is being a Slappy homer.

And labeling him one of the "big disappointments of the draft" before he's played a down is equally as idiotic.

Heck, I'll bet I could find 48 tweets in the last 2 months saying that Tom Brady is a crappy quarterback. Or that the rapture is coming on September 23rd. Or that the earth is flat.

By all accounts you seem like a reasonably intelligent guy. PJ Fleck is no longer the head football coach at Western Michigan. There's absolutely zero reason to crap on a player who led us to the greatest season in our history just because a coach you happen to dislike recruited him. Let it go, man.

A reasonably intelligent person knows the difference in "crapping on a player" and not making ridiculous predictions when the guy may not even see the field on 2017.

That's what summers are for: sun, fun, and gobs of various football season predictions. And a Top 5 skill player pick heading to a team who wants to air it out more is a reasonable prediction.

And the Titanswire column was obviously released before Davis' hammy injury.

Let's bump this thread in October. We will obviously know more about who the busts and breakout rookies are.

A reasonably intelligent person wouldn't hold a belief that a player who may get past his mild hammy injury to even see the 4th Pre-Season game -- somehow may not see the field in the year of 2017.

Hammy injuries can last years. Eric Enron has had one for almost 3 years. Comes and goes.

Titans played the Bears today. Davis had 3 catches for 38 yards today. Titus.........for the Bears. Braverman appears to be done. 03-weeping

Gee, finally some common sense on this silly thread.

It is w-a-y premature to label Davis either a rookie-of-the-year candidate, or "bust."

He's been injured and the long-long-too-long NFL regular season has not even started.

Quote:Davis (hamstring) returned to Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Cameron Wolfe of ESPN.com reports.

Davis originally exited Sunday's contest limping with a hamstring injury, but the issue appears to have been minor, as the Titans' coaching staff felt comfortable enough to deploy their rookie wideout during the fourth quarter. As of the two-minute warning, Davis has hauled in just one pass for four yards.
