Interesting. I assume that Leebron would jump at the chance, if offered (few university presidents would be able to resist). His elder son is an undergrad at Harvard now, I believe. From the Rice perspective, I think Leebron's been at Rice a good while now and so an injection of new blood in the presidency wouldn't be a bad thing.

Agreed on all points. I think David has been more good than bad, particularly for athletics, but a few episodes like the Baylor Med disaster are on the record as well.

Yeah, that BCM thing seemed to be a complete cluster--poor preparation, poor messaging, poor follow-through. It was such a singular opportunity that was missed.
