Even though Otto was a dumba$$ and should've behaved like an angel while in RNK (or better yet not gone there in the first place) I do feel sorry for him. Most recent report locally is that every part of his brain is damaged. I would guess if he ever comes out of the coma he will likely be permanently physically and/or mentally disabled.
Hopefully this is a big fat red pill for them.

He went to North Korea - willingly. You failed your son as a parent.

Wyoming is an affluent suburb near Cincinnati, super red. That young man just made a stupid decision, now he and his family are suffering from that. Lesson learned, no reason to go to the DPRK unless the trip is worth dying for.

It is an old suburb inside the county and inside the beltway. Hillary and Obama won Hamilton County easily, Wyoming is probably close to 50/50.

He was on a study trip in Hong Kong, then with a group they did a guided tour in N. Korea (I would not go). No idea if his Dad know he was doing this.

All our group tours come with an experienced YPT guide who gives you the opportunity to do things you couldn’t do without them there to make it happen – something which is of utmost importance when off the beaten track.

I sure hope we are telling them not to go there, period.

Never want to blame the victim but WTF was he thinking?

^^^^^^THIS^^^^^

Forget that place.

I don't get these people that KNOW a certain area is A+Risky and think that they'll be alright. Most of them that don't take that advice are Liberals. I don't know why either. Like that couple that were hiking and were held by the Iranians.

They expect to be treated differently than mere mortals? The rules never apply to them because they hold the moral high ground?

Exactly. Can't blame Obama for any of this.

The blame with Obama was He was always afraid to confront a fight. He didn't have a strong spine to stand up to terrorism whether from Iran, North Korea , Hammas or whomever. Don't know if He was offending His peace loving base or just afraid of conflict but it hurt the USA in world opinion for 8 years. Yeah He got Bin Laden and bombed ISIS with drones but He had too. But ISIS wasnt deterred by drones alone.

Looking at newscasts of his trial, the kid didn't seem to be all that stable. Wonder if thats because he's being tried in a kangaroo court by one of the most viscous regimes in modern history, or, if he wasn't all that stable in the first place.

I think this should go without saying, but what the heck.

- President Obama was not perfect and did not run everything perfectly

- President Trump is not completely incapable and has not completely failed in every aspect of his presidency

Nothing really groundbreaking there ...

His brain damage is apparently induced by drugs not administered correctly, so don't make conclusions based on what you saw at his trial. No doubt he likely had some injuries you could not see, as well.

A company with a business model of providing kidnap victims? I wonder if they have tours of Venezuela?
