Great story. Smart man, saw a need and became the go to guy. That decision changed the course of his life. Many companies need to provide better basic customer service, his sounds exceptional.

Great article - except we did not play Minnesota in early '60s (first time was in 1975).

We did play Wisconsin in 1963 season opener, nine months after their fantastic comeback had fallen just short 42-37 against #1 USC in Rose Bowl.

Interesting article.

Thank you for posting.

It highlights what a difficult job college football coaching is, particularly for assistants. You are constantly moving, like you are in the military.

Tough way to raise a family and make a buck. Most of these coaches don't make big bucks, either.

Gotta love the game and working with young people.
