Okay. Let's play with your thinking here. Who goes where and why?
Texas as a partial to the ACC is my thinking and that becomes tacitly your 16th.
Oklahoma and Oklahoma State to the SEC.
Kansas and who to the Big 10? Iowa State or Connecticut?
I just don't buy any of it.
And again the PAC gets leftovers.
Well X, that's not the way the real world works. The real world is messy and disorganized. The real world is asymmetrical. And the real world offers no guarantees.
Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas want to stay together. I think they will. And if ESPN wants them they will wind up in the SEC probably with Oklahoma State.
Texas isn't going to abandon their business model, period. ESPN knows this. There is no gentlemen's agreement between FOX and ESPN to stop at 16 per conference. All they want is the product. We wouldn't be in this situation if you guys hadn't screwed the pooch on the original deal.
But that's okay. If the components can be split apart maybe we just move to 16. If not 18 will be necessary. ESPN won't balk at an arrangement that NETS them Oklahoma and Kansas to go along with Texas.
