I like East Carolina. I feel like Carolina Tech sounds like a for-profit, online university.

Fool proof plan...
Step 1...take the Eastern portion of the state and secede from the rest of North Carolina.
Step 2...rename the school the University of East Carolina.
Now it's a flagship in a state all it's own.
