Football Season Ticket Sales Up
The ticket office is reporting 1,000 new season ticket sales. I wonder how that translates from last season. I don't know how many season ticket holders we had last year and I assume some would have fallen off (deaths, moving out of the area, disinterest, etc.).

The good news is this is still very early and we have a chance to put up some pretty impressive attendance number and put money in the school coffers.

It's been quite a first few weeks #BearcatsNation. We can't wait to hear you inside Nippert Stadium on August 31st!

Everyone in my group renewed. Looking forward to spending a second season in our seats.

I think the Suites and Club's had to renew.

Those are the patrons that move the revenue needle. The effect of selling any new Club seat is more than 10 times the common seat effect.

Another great talking point for CLF and his assistants out on the recruiting trail. I suspect the enthusiasm meter among fans is reaching its highest level since the years following the Orange and Sugar Bowls. Great news after what a downer last season was.

RE: Football Season Ticket Sales Up
This is fantastic news. The base number of season tickets is a metric used by others to gauge the strength of a program, ie conferences. Not AS important as TV market (come on down Dayton, the next census can't get here soon enough) however, but it isn't ignored. A large season ticket holder base makes our gameday crowds larger by default (obviously), which in turn creates better atmosphere at the game, and like OKI said it helps on the recruiting trail.

I couldn't be more proud to add 2 young alum season tix AFTER that 1000 NEW season tix tweet was announced. So 1002. Just gotta hope those who bailed to "make a point" come back and the overall number increases and reaches a new Bearcats Season tickets record, that'd be a nice headline and good bit of pub.

I think this increase was a given. A lot of folks left in the last couple of years but that was not the kind of thing that gets broadcast on Twitter. A lot of the increase is likely simply people like me who are coming back after saying the hell with it under TCHSNBN.

I left last year but renewed this year. I budgeted for a golf league last year and was also not happy with the previous coach. So no golf league this year - but I'm looking forward to football season.

Wait...golfing instead of obligations to the football team?

Clearly a scourge that touched every aspect of our program.

Is this a positive effect (boost in ticket sales bc of FCC at Nippert) or a negative effect (decrease in ticket sales bc of FCC at Nippert)?

Once those FCC fans have visited campus, they will be hooked and get season football tickets, as I was assured herein.
