It's just another pre-season poll.

From the article: 2016 record: 13-1, 8-0 in the Mid-American Conference, first in the West Division. How about first in the MAC or MAC champion.

Ball State's defense was decimated by graduation. They also lose their best receivers and starting tackles on offense.

But for some reason, BSU leaps up to third best team in the MAC? They went 4-8 last year. Mike Neu had them competitive in most games, but what do they have to be excited about this year? I can think of one all-MAC type player on their roster: RB James Gilbert.
