I suspect the odds of the B12 getting dropped to "G" status is more likely than any whole conference getting called to move to "P" status.
A conference with Texas and Oklahoma will never be a "G" conference. I do think there will be a new super division and hopefully this P6 push gers us in.

RE: Another P6 Argument
The advantage of the P6 narrative mainly lies in recruiting and securing coaches. I would guess that the AAC recruiting is rated much higher than the G4 on a conference basis. In Texas, SMU and Houston probably pick off most of the good players that don't opt for P5. That keeps the AAC at least as a P6. Also, we get better head coaches. Both UT and Baylor took from the AAC last year. Therefore, the recruits know they will get quality coaching at one of our universities. Just check the NFL draft this year. That's a big deal for good players who have hopes of a Pro career. And the AAC is putting our money where our mouths are. It's paying off. The bowl situation is still pretty abysmal, though. Only by West expansion could we improve it at this point. We're doing well with Bball trying to make it P6 with BE. Keep it up partners, it's working.
