Exclamation Troy endzone facility rendering/progress
TroyFB Recruiting's Twitter just posted this rendering of the endzone facility that's in progress. I'm not sure if this is an old picture or new one, but I figure I'll post it since nothing else is going on around this board.

Here is an updated photo on the current construction:

That looks to be quite the facility when it's done! Hopefully we'll be breaking ground on ours soon (it's desperately needed)

Does that fall in line with the architectural style of the rest of campus?

It matches the architectural design of the entire campus. I do wish is was a couple more stories/levels...

Gotchya, at least it matches. I'd be pretty pissed if App built a state of the art field house that looked like someone added a new wing onto Monticello.

I like it. Good design for an end zone complex.

While it may not look like a new wing at Monticello the new renderings of our endzone building looks nothng like the rest of campus, or existing KBS. Then again because of the ineptitude of previous administrations hardly anything in KBS matches. The west and east stands are completely different. The wing on Owens Field House doesn't remotely look like the original building. The restrooms on the bank, gates and ticket building (brick with Black metal roof) don't match anything else. The early renderings of the new endzone facility don't look like any of that. It's hard to believe such a magnificent setting could have been butchered more badly. I begged Ken Peacock to drop the west stands when the old pressbox was coming down and build both sides to match. Now that we are finally getting rid of the track it would have been simple to wrap both endzones with the same look. KBS could be one of the best football venues in America. All we need to do is match the quality of the facility with that of the setting.

You're right, it doesn't match a lot of stuff on campus, but it has a somewhat modern aesthetic and does share a few elements with some of our more recent buildings. Even though it's not a seamless look, like Troy's, I'd still take it over a rehashing of neoclassical architecture. I had not seen their campus, so I thought it was an odd choice for an athletics building.

I don't mind that the design doesn't look like anything on campus, I just want everything inside the fence to look the same.
