Does App have somewhere to build a track? That stadium would look cool with track removed.

We recently purchased the site of the old Watauga High School. While it's not official, it's almost a guarantee that there will be a new T&F facility there, among other things.

Do any of you App fans have a rendering of what the rock would look like without the track? I'm interested to see it. Bet it would look awesome.

Eventually, Owens Field House is demolished/renovated/remodeled with club seating and new Yosef Clubroom, and other amentities that would eventually include a closing out (I hate using the term "bowl") of that portion of the stadium. Its down the road, but there are renderings and its within our short term vision.

I posted this in another thread a few months back, but this should give a decent idea of what it could look like. The school hasn't released anything without the track.

Wouldn't that be "closing in" the North end of the stadium?

I would hope whatever design elements are incorporated in the field house replacement are then retro-fitted elsewhere in the stadium. The setting is too nice to have a piece meal stadium.

In the early 2000's John Wiley and I were talking about the setting for KBS. It was right after SMU opened Gerald Ford Stadium and he pulled it up on the screen. If said to me "If we had this out there (pointing to KBS), nobody could touch us." At 32K it's the perfect size for App. It would be cool to see it photoshoped into KBS's setting

Troy, on behalf of other posters and myself, I am sorry for hijacking your thread. Your renderings look awesome, your campus looks beautiful, and your team is legit.

I'm guilty too. Sorry Trojans. No lie though, I had no idea y'all's campus looked that good! That facility is going to be an awesome compliment to the stadium.

No big deal. I recommend some of you to come to Troy for a game so you can also see the campus. It's overall architecture very unique compared to most college campuses.

RE: Troy endzone facility rendering/progress
Our new press box and practice facility has brick that is different than anything else on campus. Even different than our existing endzone facility. No one cared because everyone hates the brick color that is used throughout our campus. They did add some bands of our old brick color to tie things together.
