Why must you ruin a great view of your construction. Love the size of your video board. Ours is a joke that needs to be upgraded.

Lol

Our first game weather permitting will likely be a new record. Possibly standing room only.

A lot of dirt has been moved but thats about all that one can see at the moment. Weather has been a problem. The end zone project will set our stadium up perfectly with teams in each end zone and of course no one can match our press box, its facilities and a beautiful indoor facility next door. With the end zone completed, attention can be given to other needs we have such as baseball. Give us a few years and we are going to have first class G5 facilities and the envy of most.

I mean... StAte has a very nice press box, but I certainly wouldn't say no one can match it. I'd put Troy's up against anyone's as far as amenities and size.

I have seen Troy's. Nice, nothing wrong with it at all but second to State's. Haven't seen the sq. footage but yours may be a little smaller as well.

It's definitely not smaller. StAte's press box/suit tower is 36,000 sq. ft. Troy's is 54,000.

The press box at stAte is 40,000 square feet...the original 5,000 feet was rehabbed and 35,000 square feet was added. Pictures I've seen of the inside looks pretty nice compared to others I've seen. It's not the largest in the conference but it is very nice.

I can't wait to see the finished project. If we get a game at Troy(looking at ESPN) on Saturday I could see in person...

RE: Troy endzone facility rendering/progress
Both Troy and Arkansas State will have the best SBC FB facilities by far (App St might join them in the future). I especially like how Ark State's weight room is right next to the IPF... Troy has one advantage though: Location. It should be even easier for us now to recruit talented in-state prospects while teams like Ark State still have to convince AL and GA prospects to leave their areas. They can sign with Troy (or UAB) and train in amazing facilities right in their home states or nearby...

I think Texas State's is right up there. It just isn't filled in all the way and their press box is smaller. Great looking facility though.

The fact you put "UAB" and "amazing facilities" in the same sentence made me chuckle.

Think the 54000 is misleading in that this includes your athletic training facilities located beneath the stands and normally not found in a pressbox per se. A traditional pressbox is located top of the stadium and will include areas for the press, radio, TV, communication areas, skyboxes, AD, visiting AD box, President box and service areas. You know, normal stuff. Our S&C, other training stations and such will be in the new endzone facility.

All those training facilities under the 6 story tall press box building is moving in a couple months to the north end zone building.

The traditional press box area in which you speak of consists of 30 suites and a Club area also with tv box communications etc. same as yours.

Looking at it from inside the stadium they look to be the same size. both are 3 stories tall inside the stadium except for your 4th floor in the middle. however Troys looks to be a little longer from end zone to end zone.
