LA Times jumps the shark on impeachment
Impeachment because his presidency might have a bad result? Basically calling for a coup. "...impeachment is ultimately a question of political power....[impeachment] also if his actions pose a serious and irreversible danger to the nation...."

Liberals continue to show they learned no valuable lessons from the last election.

The news sites are almost useless. In the days of paper you needed it for classified adds, sports section, maybe the weather, just not anymore. Useless bubble group think.

You'll pay the price if you impeach and don't have a reason that the population thinks is valid. And thats without a conviction. Convict....and it is uncharted waters.

RE: LA Times jumps the shark on impeachment
There seems to be a concerted effort within the media and parts of the government that are openly seeking to overthrow the President of the United States. The continued onslaught from them and their blatant disregard for the law because they hate their commander in chief shows how they are making attempts to overthrow him. They openly admit to leaking documents, they openly support factions that are hostile toward the President, they openly lie about the President in an attempt to discredit him. Perhaps the President should instruct the department of justice to investigate these matters.

RE: LA Times jumps the shark on impeachment
There was a time when the LA Times actually had some national media-influence, and an editorial like that one would've actually mattered. Now, this is just a drop of water in the media-ocean, no different than any other anti-Trump activist having a few minutes of air-time on MSNBC.

I'm starting to think that most don't realize that impeachment is a political action and not a legal one.

Yep. Also, as posted in another thread, I think there are those who do not understand impeaching Trump does not put a Democrat in the White House. In fact, they would put in a guy who most conservatives would prefer because his politics align more closely to theirs.

Yep, I'd bet 98% of the "impeach Trump" weirdos have no idea whatsoever what impeachment actually is.

It's whatever the MSM tells them it is, apparently. They obviously haven't taken the time to actually think it out for themselves.

A lot of people don't realize the political capital expended in impeaching someone, particular for non-legit reasons, and particularly if you convict and remove them.

Republicans found out a lot of that. Democrats maybe don't realize it.
