I don't think he made a case for obstruction of justice since the investigation was in fact ongoing at the time. What he did was shine a light on the slimy Obama DOJ and democrat party in general. Obama's AG didn't want to hurt the party's candidate by acknowledging that the Federal Bureau of INVESTIGATIONS was in fact performing and INVESTIGATION on the DNC nominee.

The reason I believe this could be obstruction is because Comey himself ended the investigation of Clinton after Lynch told him this, despite laying out all of the evidence of the crimes she committed. Had he referred the matter to the DOJ, as he should have if he had any integrity, then you could say it wasnt obstruction because the investigation went on and was referred. But because he killed it, utilizing authority he did not have, it sounds like obstruction.

Comey somehow managed to step on his own crank at the same time that he squashed the collective grapes of liberals everywhere. That was a clown show of historic proportions.
