So sad. Some of this I didnt' know as I had moved away many years ago. He was fun to watch. I feel so bad for his kids.

It's a shame to see a person who looks like they had it all throw it away by running with the wrong crowd. His money problems began several years before his death and got worse and then it was too late.

I also won't forget the time Lorenzen was in a locker room and got a call that his young daughter died of SIDS.

Those around him claimed he was hysterically sad. He took some time off, then players and fans warmly welcomed him back when he eventually returned.

The 2nd Grizzlies home game in the first season (01-02) I'll always remember because Lorenzen scored 33 that day and pulled down 26 rebounds. He was a machine. Of course we lost to Dallas by 10.
