Tulsa Crowns a National Champion
Didn't see this posted anywhere else so...
Tulsa won an individual national championship last night! Congrats to Marc Scott and also Luke Traynor!

"EUGENE, Ore. – Marc Scott became The University of Tulsa's second track and field national champion as he took the lead and pulled away down the stretch to win the 10,000-meters at the NCAA Division I Track and Field Championships on Wednesday evening at historic Hayward Field. The redshirt senior won the event with a time of 29:01.54 as he earned his eighth all-American honor."

"Fellow senior Luke Traynor earned his fourth all-American nod with an eighth place finish, posting a time of 29:10:58 as he finished inside the top-15 for the second consecutive year at the national meet."

Since we also have a Rhodes Scholar on that team, we get the best of both worlds - brains AND brawn. :)

Congrats! UC had a 2nd place finish in the pole vault.

EUGENE, Ore. - The first day of competition at the 2017 NCAA Final came to a close Wednesday night inside Historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore., with University of Cincinnati junior Adrian Valles nearly making history of his own as he placed second overall in the men’s pole vault, nearly capturing the first national title in UC men’s track and field history in the process. Valles, who placed fifth at the NCAA Indoor Championship in March, cleared 5.55m (18-02.50), which matched his season-best clearance, and secured All-America honors in the process.

houston wins the 4x100 national championship upsetting auburn

cameron burrell made it to the finals of the individual 100m ..he actually broke the conference record and school record in the semis- fifth fastest time in ncaa history.. in most years he'd be favored to win it all...but the actual fastest time in college history was actually also timed this year...Christian Coleman is the favorite..heres hoping for miracle

Scott came in just out of the money in the 5,000 meter at #4. But good job anyway.
