People close to the program knew this was coming for a few weeks. They are saying his heart health is not good. Apparently his dad died of a heart attack around his age. This will be the first Texas V OU game with two new coaches since 1945. Amazing run for Stoops. Only 4 active coaches remain that won a national title.

That's just not good for the sport. Of the 130 FBS programs, there are probably only 15 or so that have a legit shot at winning a national title. That's just too much of an imbalance, and I'm not even talking about the G5/P5 difference. The difference between top P5 and bottom P5 schools is incredible as well.
