They left off our best and most consistent player the last two seasons -- Marin Maric.

Also didn't mention Abraham Lincoln.
He's captured halfway exiting to the left on our new state license plates.

Question of the season, will NIU have five players available to field a team? Will we need to ask for volunteers to come down from the stands.

Since you obviously pay little or no attention to NIU basketball, here is an update:

Huskies Ink All-American Dante Thorpe

This past season, Thorpe was named a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II First Team All-American as he averaged 20.1 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game. A 6-foot-4 guard, Thorpe shot 55.6 percent from the field, and 78.1 percent from the free-throw line, leading the Trojans to a 30-3 overall record while also earning North Central Community College Conference Player of the Year honors.

Thorpe is NIU's sixth signee for the 2017-18 season, joining Marlo Brown (Detroit, Mich./DME Academy), Safir Daow (Melbourne, Australia/Victory Rock Prep), Tommy Demogerontas (Orland Park, Ill./Moraine Valley Community College), Owen Hamilton (Prescott, Wis./Prescott) and Rod Henry-Hayes (Zion, Ill./Zion-Benton Township).

With 7 scholarship players returning, they will probably have enough players to field a team.

After talking to Monty at length at coaches show in Aurora, you can look for the Huskies to play much more zone. I'm also pretty sure that as of right know the thought is the lineup will be: German, Thorpe, Bradley, Key and James. Zone defense will help with Bradley playing the 3-position. I haven't seen Thorpe but the other four guys I believe will be 10+point scorers.

I swear some people just post, so they can be negative.

Why do NIU fans have such an inferiority complex?

thank you gentleman golfer......it does get old and turns off many posters which may well contribute to the numbers that show up on this forum declining...fans could take a lesson from golfers: well-mannered and considerate folks with high standards of proper behavior.
