I Toured the WW2 museum in New Orleans last weekend. I highly recommend it.

Great museum focused on the entirety of US involvement in WWII. Very well done, I too recommend.

I was told by a vet (no longer with us), that Saving Private Ryan is Hollywood's best film to recreate the battle.

I read comments from WWII vets that watched the premiere of SPR and there were several that said the battle scenes were very realistic.

You are welcome to try and board my son's ship in San Diego tonight while he stands watch. Of course, he would be entitled to use his M-4 to protect his shipmates.

Read where there were around a dozen MG42 machine guns set up in a cross fire. 1800 rounds per minute. Fired so fast due to the bolt being on rollers that you could not hear individual rounds.

My son just shipped to Italy with an airborne unit. Some of his company jumped into Normandy on Monday to commemorate. The only tv they saw during training was Band of Brothers.

With exception to those who have young-ones currently serving our country. There are exceptions to ever rule so I have learned.

I sincerely didn't mean it like that TF...I was just talking about the younger generation who would rather sit on an iPhone instead of have a conversation with you at the dinner table.
