so, you're basing his signing bonus how his future progresses???....did you even give a thought how that might make him work harder and achieve further greatness moving forward???

another double bogey piggy backing on those that have to tote your 20+ hdcp fat arse....

you might want to rethink that one....he had zero reason to stay...a year under a mlb umbrella has more value than playing against shite competition....

my bad guru.....continue on arsehole....

Where the heck is this coming from? I'm genuinely wondering what prompted this type of attack...

No kidding. Stink....chillllllllll

chill is my middle.....you might want to review his responses to many of my posts since this board was enacted.....

once again, I'll provide them if necessary.....

I only post the inside, op-ed, or gibes....it's not my problem that some don't have a sense o' humor, or don't like it that lanny doesn't have all the screws on the inside....

none of this is my problem....I don't give two shites if the ep'rs don't like my style.....I hated theirs....it's why I never gave two thoughts about signing up for that pos board....

http://www.hattiesburgamerican.com/story...453696001/

Christian Ostrander is soon expected to be named pitching coach at Southern Miss, according to a source close to the situation.

Ostrander, a former head coach at Jones County Junior College, has spent the past two seasons as pitching coach at Louisiana Tech. Last season, he also served as associate head coach under first-year Bulldogs head coach Lane Burroughs.

On Wednesday, Southern Miss baseball coach Scott Berry told the Hattiesburg American a hire has not officially been made. Ostrander could not be reached for comment.

That news does not suck.

FIU bringing in some talent. Good for the conference. They had a top 5 class with most of their best guys signing, but a few will make it to campus.

https://d1baseball.com/analysis/mlb-draf...ign=buffer

FIU has recruited at a high level since Melendez’s staff took over and it received some great news at the signing deadline as righthander Christian Santana and lefthander Logan Allen decided to attend college. Santana, a 15th-rounder to the Brewers, is a 6-foot-3, 200-pounder, who can get up to 91-92 with his fastball and could be an immediate impact guy, while Allen, a 16th-rounder to the Orioles, is a 6-foot, 170-pounder, who has shown the ability to touch 90-91 at times with more potentially in the tank in the coming years, while also showing good feel for a changeup. These two guys could be the foundation for the future for the Panthers.

Funny, I posted "Hmmm." No question mark. As in, "He signed under his slot bonus. Hmmm." This indicated mild surprise, being that we'd previously heard he'd get a premium.

No, the questions and comments and general cray-cray about his projected ability and motives that you produced is yours and yours alone.

Another commit from Minnesota. LHP Ryan Och. Class of 2017 so he'll be here for the upcoming season.

Been playing with Google Maps' measurement feature (can you tell it's the offseason?). Right click from home plate at PTP and you can measure the distance from any spot in the park. Sorta interesting.

https://www.google.com/maps/place/Pete+T...89.3380093

Some notable distances...

Longleaf Trace - 445 feet
St. Thomas - 490-500 feet
Billboard in leftfield - 350 feet
Scoreboard - 360-365 feet
Roost spots behind the right field fence - 360-380 feet (deeper the farther left you go)
Apartments behind the trace - 525 feet

Forgot who it was some but some dude for ODU easily cleared the CF wall during the Saturday game this past year. Ball must have traveled 420-430 feet.

Hardest ball I've ever seen hit at that stadium was against Tulane about 6-7 years ago. Cargill was on the mound in a crazy extra inning game....final score was like 15-14 in 13 innings or something. The guy for Tulane absolutely smashed it to straight away center. No way it was less than 430 feet.
