I think it'll come down to our passing attack, whether we win or lose. How good is Wassink in passing when MSU clamps down our running game, and gives us the nod to throw? That will make or break us -- all other things like special teams & turnovers being more or less equal.

Every team knows we're going to run the ball and plans accordingly. How's that worked out so far?

There is no way way MSU has a better defense than USC.

Last year we had a balanced offense. So stacking the box just opened us up for the pass. USC didn't stack the box terribly, so yes, worked out well for us in the running game. Our passing game needs to improve. I think MSU will have a Good D, as even last year they were certainly capable, and I think they will do just fine on D. I think their secondary is Not as good as USC's -- and that will really test our QB to see how good we are at passing. I'd rather play MSU than USC, that's for sure. We're battle tested... and while they're not after playing a 4-4 MAC team, they at least got some dust brushed off and some positive energy.

If we played @MSU instead of @USC, I think we certainly could have beaten MSU. But this time around, MSU is going to be prepared, they're going to dare us to pass and stack the box to keep our run game in check. It'll come down to Wassink & our WRs.
