If it were a "Muslim ban" then all Muslims would be banned. As it stands Muslims from anywhere except the listed countries can enter the US. Not much of a ban if we are still allowing the vast majority of them to enter.

It's a temporary travel ban from places where due to a number of factors it is incredibly difficult to vet the people trying to enter the country. It gives us time to improve the vetting process.
