RE: Bocephus back to MNF
ESPN is losing their azz in huge losses right now. In income and subscribers. This is an obvious attempt to appease those that are not part of the liberal crowd they have catered to. Sorry ESPN, too little too late. When you gave your courage award to Bruce Jenner for wearing a dress, you lost me forever.

LOL. Actually this makes 'some' sense in the short term but not in the long term.

Here's the short term view

Basically, Moderates and liberals are dumping cable much faster than conservatives. So much like Comcast slashing rates in some markets, this could be a play to that dwindling pool of people willing to pay 400 bucks a year for sports programming It helps them hold onto some of their consumers for a longer period of time. But it comes at the risk of causing others to walk away more quickly. I think the NFL and ESPN have both decided...the moderates and liberals are walking. Lets try and hang onto the MAGA crowd

---

But its really dumb in the long term. The NFL has a problem in that most of its revenue model is based upon must take cable packages highly concentrated in big cities with large liberal and moderate populations as well as huge payouts from the taxpayers of those more liberal cities.

What the spin?

Its pretty clear that the NFL is run by a bunch of white billionaire 'welfare queens' who live off of scamming the taxpayers and the public. Of course they're going to identify with Trump.

Damn...you're missing out...if you like sports of course.

No commercials...skip the boring crap between plays. Best use is when I watch my Tigers play as their pitching drives me to drink. With DVR, I can FF through those half innings! 03-wink

1. I only watch ECU, Carolina Panthers and Charlotte Hornets (sporadically)
2. I don't have much time for it when I'm at home.
3. After I learned the score of something I haven't watched it's kind of pointless IMHO.

RE: Bocephus back to MNF
After I saw Hank try and play the banjo on prime time a few years ago when there were at least two or three more than competent actual bluegrass instrumentalists that should have been doing so I lost some respect for the guy. His ego has always gotten in the way but I overlooked it for years. He had three or four really good albums back in the day but he hasn't been relevant for years now. His live performances have always been uneven, and I'm being kind in putting it that way. The last time I saw him was about 10 years ago with 38 Special, that poor excuse for a cover band for Lynard Skynard and special guest Kid Rock. How bad was it? 38 Special offered by far the best performance and they are Johnny come latelies. Hank was awful and LS was an insult to Ronnie Van Zant and the rest of the real band.

I could care less about Jrs. politics. If he put forth the creative effort and provided a quality performance he could be appearing with Glen Beck and Rush Limbaugh for all I care.
