I don't know that we can stop either one. If we can how?

Today, 6 in Orlando, 3 in St Louis, 3 in New Orleans.... crickets. We demand that people check their social media websites and smart phones....but demanding that same scrutiny over gun records? Nah, we can't do that.

And those are just mass shootings. There were probably 100 people killed to day in murders with firearms in the USA. Add suicides and accidental deaths...and the number is much higher.

60,000 people a year die in the USA from firearms. In Australia...the number is around 25. England...around 50.

Aren't mass shootings typically defined as 4 or more people killed and the victims are selected indiscriminately? Orlando would qualify, but I'm willing to be St Louis and New Orleans will end up being altercations that arose from illicit activity and there were less than 4 people killed in those cases. I'd also bet my annual salary that the shooters in New Orleans and St Louis were criminals that obtained their weapons illegally, thereby negating your call for more "scrutiny over gun records".

100 murders a day by firearm? bull****. It's an easily fact-checked stat. Less than 20 per day, and that number includes homicides during other criminal activity like drug deals and those committed by criminals that aren't supposed to be in possession of a firearm to begin with.

You need to source your 60k annual gun related deaths as well. The first three links on a quick google search put the number around 33k from 2013, and that includes suicide. Likewise on your numbers for gun deaths in the UK and Australia. Neither country has a reported less than 125 per year since the mid 90's.

In summation, you are full of 01-rivals .

And those Australia and England numbers were pretty much the same BEFORE they had their gun control laws. That leads to the obvious conclusion that the gun control laws are not what causes the difference.

I don't think there is anyone who says that we can't do anything about it. But there are those who question the wisdom of implementing draconian gun control measures that have never worked to effect a serious reduction in gun deaths.

Here in America, a ban on guns in all probability raises gun violence.

We don't need to ban guns.

Ban, restrictions, laws... all the same. Increase in criminal gun use.
