Wishful thinking.

Comey most likely will testify that he thought Trump was weird, and creepy, and scary but that he didn't really feel technically pressured.

Thus trashing Trump, getting some revenge, and avoiding any personal jeapordy.

He could say all that, and those who really know, know that James Comey only cares about James Comey. His tenure as FBI Director in 2016 backs my assertion up. Only the low-information voter, and Spin Room regressives, will believe anything that comes out of Comey's pie-hole.
