Macron 'could've' been among our best French presidential friends in a long time. He's a fiscal conservative (by Euro standards) and is willing to draw back the State, something that's usually not too popular in those parts.

I'm not sure if I'm impressed or dismayed - maybe a bit of both - that he's acting like a college football coach trying to poach recruits.

Then again, there was a brain and capital drain from France during socialist Hollande's first years in office, so maybe they're desperate to fill that hole.
