I'm sure the outcome would have been the same because Louisville is just that much better than us, but did anybody else think that this was one of the worst officiated games you've ever seem? Not so much the calls, but the no-calls. Louisville must have fragrantly traveled at least a dozen times in the game and they called it maybe twice. I'm talking 3 or 4 steps. I'm talking I think they would have called traveling in the NBA. They were constantly over 3 seconds in the lane with only one call in the whole game. There was one instance where #3 was literally in the lane for Louisville's entire possession lasting probably 15-20 seconds. No call. Louisville's players were flagrantly, and I mean flagrantly, holding, forcely pushing our guys with arms extended under the boards on almost every missed shot. On inbounds plays, they were obviously, right in front of the officials, holding our guys.
And usually poorly officiated games have bad calls both ways, but in this case, it was about 80/20 against us, mainly because Louisville is much more physical than us. And, in this game at least, they traveled alot.
Again this is not an excuse or a reason for losing so badly, but I just think it makes the game less enjoyable.

I saw the game the same way. Terrible officiating. The travelling by Looeyville was non-stop. I also agree that it wouldn't have made a difference in the game.

I thought it was terrible too, too many whistles. I really can't see how they could have called more.

There were alot of whistles, but I think the fouling got worse at the end because the officials didn't control it from the beginning. They started calling more fouls especially after Tulane fans and coaches got all over their case. They also called 3 seconds on Louisville a couple of minutes after the fans screamed when #3 was in the lane for around 15 seconds. But, to me, the traveling no-calls were the worst.
Anyway, ancient history now.
