RE: AAC SoS - football
ECU schedule vs Tulsa schedule:

ECU OOC
James Madison (FCS National Champions)
@ West Virginia
Virginia Tech
BYU

Tulsa OOC
@ Oklahoma State
Lousiana Lafayette
@ Toledo
New Mexico

ECU clearly has the more difficult OOC schedule.

ECU Conference schedule:
HOME: USF, Temple, Tulane, Cincinnati
AWAY: UCF, Houston, UCONN, Memphis

Tulsa Conference schedule:
HOME: Navy, Houston, Memphis, Temple
AWAY: Tulane, UCONN, SMU, USF

It might be a push, but again I think the nod goes to ECU. Sure, Tulsa has to play Navy and ECU doesn't. But ECU is on the road at Houston, UCF, and Memphis. Tulsa's only real test on the road is at USF.

I think ECU has the tougher schedule. It's clear but the gap is small. Things could go real bad for ECU this year, that's a real tough schedule.

I agree ECU has a tougher schedule by the smallest of margins. I'd also personally put USF's lower than Memphis but really the difference there is minimal as well.

Another piece where the author includes the AAC in their series instead of cutting off at just the P5. This one breaks down P5 + AAC schedules. More press = more visibility. Better than being ignored or downright dismissed.

Any press that the AAC gets is good for the conference. Hopefully it's no about behavior issues in our programs. We need all the exposure we possibly can get. GO AAC!!!!!!!! 04-rock

I'll give ECU the nod, but we do have to play @Toleo and @OSU, where ECU gets VT and BYU at home. And OSU is tougher than any other team on ECU's schedule. Of course this is kind of flipped in conference play.

Agreed based on pre season expectations and rankings unless WVU passes OSU in Big12 play. The goal for ECU with our schedule is just to figure out a way to get Bowl eligible with 6 wins. If we were to get 7 wins it would be a case of the team exceeding expectations. Sucks to have such low expectations but the team is probably one more year away from making any noise in the AAC.

Been there. I'm happy Tulsa is back. They're just good enough I think an upset of OSU is possible.

Don't upset the G4's. I have honestly seen numerous occasions now where the P5 and American are mentioned or that is how it is displayed on websites etc.. The separation is occurring and the next media deal will cement that separation.

Who knows if this trend continues? Schools in the American (and MAC and C-USA and Sunbelt and Mountain West and...) may be frozen out when scheduling at home.

South Carolina has already bought out the ECU home game against the Gamecocks.
