Schneider was 2 time All-MAC. He was MAC "back of the year" and honorable mention all-American in 1967. Drafted by the Boston Patriots in the 7th round, he spent a couple years with Winnipeg in the CFL.

Biggest surprise so far. I recall him very well but don't remember his achievements as well as some. There was just so much talent on those teams.

Yes. Also became a great DE for the Lions in the NFL and also appeared on the Shark Tank to hype his BBQ ribs...

ok - maybe not the same guy.

Is it also true that he never had a holding call on him called during his entire senior season? Heard that before but not sure it was true. The refs missed an obvious hold against him when Toledo lost to Akron in the Rubber Bowl on a 60 yard field goal as time expired. On the play before the field goal, Williams was about to get a sack when an Akron OL basically tackled him before he hit the QB. Williams got up quickly and still almost got the sack (almost being the key word). the QB got a pass off for a pretty substantial gain that got them in field goal range. The next play they kicked the FG and won the game.

Should be no brainer

That was the Dan Simrell mediocrity period if I recall

Thank GOD for our Seniors in '71! Murph was undoubtedly the worst coach in Rocket modern day history. First to worst in almost no time.

With a name like that, you'd think he was a LB, but apparently played FB and punted.

He came in during my senior year. Actually, my dad used to talk about him and he was even before my dad's time. And by the way, those unis still look better than the flame pants.

Not much news about him. Fortunately there is a picture. Can you imagine that helmet in pink for the October games?

Don Fair is #21. Guy could catch a ball thrown a yard out of bounds and keep his toes in bounds. Loved to watch him run routes.

3 Time All-MAC; 3 Time Academic All-MAC; Honorable Mention All-American. 11th all-time in receptions; 8th all-time in yards.

In 1970 set UT records in catches (81) and yards (949) that stood for 33 years til they were broken by Lance Moore.

Could have easily been a top 10 choice IMO.

17. Emerson Cole

Rushed for then record 1172 yards in 1949 (10 game season). The record stood for 35 years until it was surpassed by Steve Morgan in 1984. Still the 13th best season all-time.

Drafted by the Browns in the 12th round, and spent 4 years in the NFL with the Browns and Bears.

16. Nick Kaczur

Four-time All-MAC (I believe only Barry Church matched that honor). Drafted by the Patriots in the 3rd round. Played 5 seasons in the NFL starting 62 games, including 11 as a rookie.

Mancz was only 3 time all-MAC. As you said, he did get some freshman all-American recognition, but was not selected all-MAC that year. He was 3rd team in 2012, 2nd team in 2013 and 1st team in 2014 as well as being named MAC POY.

In 2011 VanDerMeulen and Kerin were all-MAC, but not Mancz.
