Eric Page is Number 11. I correctly stated previously that after Dan Williams there were eleven to go. I then incorrectly stated that Williams was Number Eleven. He was actually Twelve.

11th? How can he possibly not be top 3?

1st team All-American in 2010; Honorable Mention All-American 2009 & 2011.
6-Time All-MAC (3x WR, 2x KR, 1x PR). 5 of those 6 were 1st team. MAC special teams POY

His 306 career receptions is 12th all-time in the NCAA. He did that in 3 seasons. Every player ahead of him played 4 seasons and at least 7 more games. Would undoubtedly be the NCAA career reception leader if he played his senior season. His 125 receptions in 2011 is 16th all-time in the NCAA.

His name is littered all over the MAC record book. No way to list them all. Was 1st in career receptions til that was broken by Corey Davis. 4th all-time in all-purpose yards. 14th in receiving yards. etc. etc. Again, all while only playing 3 years.

Declared early but went undrafted, but was signed by Denver. Never played for them as he blew out his knee in training camp. Did play 1 season for Tampa Bay, primarily as a KR.

RE: All Century Team
After a short break to count down the 10 best wins (See different thread) UT is back to counting down the top 10 players:

10. Gene Swick

1st team all-American; 10th in voting for the Heisman; Broke NCAA record for total offense at the time, with over 8000 yards; 3 time all-MAC; MAC back of the year - twice!; 3rd all-time at UT in career passing yards; 7th in completion percentage; 8th in TD passes & passing efficiency

One of 4 Rockets to have their jersey's retired.

Drafted in the 4th round by Cleveland, but didn't make the NFL roster. Had a contract available with Hamilton in the CFL, but chose not to play up North.

I recall Jim Plunkett calling him to congratulate him on breaking JP's total offense record. He had the misfortune of playing on some very bad teams.

9. Curtis Johnson

1st team All-American; 2 time all-MAC; 4th all-time in interceptions; 3 career INTs returned for TDs.

Drafted in the 4th round by Miami. Had a long NFL career, playing 9 seasons all with the Dolphins, which included 2 super bowl victories. Tallied 22 career interceptions.

Can't believe I forgot him. Even knew him a little when he was a Toledo firefighter. Other teams didn't even try to throw to his side. He was a beast.

Should be higher. How many first team All-Americans do we have? Undefeated Dolphins team. Nice pro career. Local kid.

I'll answer my own question. We've had six first team All-Americans.

It's 8 actually. Ealey, Long (2x), Bukovich, Beutler, Johnson, Swick, Page & Roberts.

Speaking of 8, coming in at #8 is Mel Tripplett

All-MAC; one of 4 Rockets whose jerseys have been retired.

Drafted in the 5th round by the Giants. Played 8 seasons in the NFL with the Giants and Vikings. Had over 2800 yards rushing, and 400 yards receiving, 18 TDs.

I believe he played on a world championship team with the Giants.

Too low. Should be ahead of Taylor, IMO. Bruce, Chester, Mel and Chuck yet to come. Who will be the other two? Church for sure if he wasn't already in-I can't recall. This group will be honored at the Tulsa game.

Love Bruce, but you can't put him ahead of a first team All-American, Heisman trophy vote recipient and national record holding QB (Swick).

Swick victimized by playing on bad teams.
