No not the baseball team, but UMass. Thought of starting this thread because we play three SunBelt teams from the conferences champions to the newest team in FBS.

Starting off with Coastal, we are opening their FBS era in about 3 months. The Chanticleers well be able to scout us as we open a week earlier with Hawaii.

Two former foes in the FCS Championship game, Georgia Southern and Appalachia State will be visiting UMass. Here is a visitors guide for you all.

Also for any Georgia Southern fans making the trip, there is an opportunity to watch college hockey, UMass vs Ohio State.

It's funny you should mention that. Half our fan base wants to run one the sports anchors for the main TV station up here out of town on a rail because he tweets about hockey too much. Admittedly, his pro Razorback tweets have something to do with it, but Hockey appears to be a regular complaint..

I'm pretty sure one of our guys tweets about soccer every now and then, it's dumb but I don't hate the guy for it lol.

I like soccer and hockey and finally have my team in the Stanley Cup. I really don't care if some transplant needing a job wants to use his twitter account wants to use twitter to tout other sports or his favorite teams from back home.

I do have a beef with the local sports guy who has no ties to the area thinking he should have a 2-1 ratio of Hog to Red Wolf tweets when that doesn't reflect the market. There are plenty of KAIT viewers toward the southern end of KAIT's reach who have KAIT and the Little Rock stations available who watch KAIT for the AState coverage, you can't out-Hog the Little Rock stations. Anyone with a choice who wants Hog news watches Little Rock TV.

Agreed. I couldn't care less about the hockey tweets. I do have a huge problem with the razorback tweets. I essentially told him the emboldened part of your post the same thing on twitter last night, in my 140 character limit.

It must be a breath of fresh air to take a look at your schedule and see that rather than a Big South schedule.

I know it was for us to see a Sun Belt schedule rather than a SoCon schedule.

That's what is so frustrating about all of this with Hurst. He can claim KAIT's target audience is partially Razorback fans (and it is) but a large portion of that target audience doesn't watch KAIT to begin with because they know that the Razorback coverage will be few and far between. They've got other avenues to pig news out there if they want it, they are not going to come back.

Speaking of Arkansas news, I saw that Cotham's in Scott burned down. That made me irrationally sad. I have some fond memories taking family and friends there when they'd visit me at Little Rock Air Force Base. Sorry for the randomness, but I've seen worse on these boards.
