Last 30 years, 97% of ACC baseball and women's soccer teams that went .500 in conference made NCAAs.

2016-17 exceptions: Miami and Miami.

Cards were tied with Oklahoma 1 apiece but exploded for 7 runs in the 8th & won 11-1. Cards advance to the regional championship game.

The Pack beat Kentucky to advance to the Lexington regional championship & forces the Cats to take on the Hoosiers in an elimination game.

Clemson lost to Vandy 9-4 & will face elimination tomorrow.

RE: Road to Omaha 2017
The ACC is 10-3 after two days of action.

Chapel Hill Regional
#4 Davidson 8 - #1 North Carolina 4
#1 North Carolina 8 - #3 Michigan 1
-UNC plays another elimination game, vs. #2 Florida-Gulf Coast. Then they have to beat Davidson twice to survive.

Louisville Regional
#1 Louisville 11 - #4 Radford 6
#1 Louisville 11 - #2 Oklahoma 1
-UofL is in the Regional final, awaiting the winner of Oklahoma/Xavier.

Winston-Salem Regional
#1 Wake Forest 11 - #4 Maryland-Baltimore County 3
#1 Wake Forest 4 - #2 West Virginia
-Wake beat WVU on a walk-off to make the Regional final & await the winner of WVU/Maryland.

Tallahassee Regional
#4 Tennessee Tech 3 - #1 Florida State 1
#1 Florida State 6 - #2 Central Florida 1
-FSU plays Tn. Tech again in an elimination game, then would have to beat #3 Auburn twice to win their regional.

Clemson Regional
#1 Clemson 5 - #4 UNC-Greensboro 4
#2 Vanderbilt 9 - #1 Clemson 4
-To no one's surprise Vandy makes the regional final. Clemson plays UNCG in an elimination game, then has to beat Vandy twice to survive.

Ft. Worth Regional
#2 Virginia 6 - #3 Dallas Baptist 3
-Friday play was delayed for rain. #1 TCU/ #4CCSU are playing a late game, and UVA plays the winner of that game Sunday.

Lexington Regional
#3 NC State 7 - #2 Indiana 6 (12)
#3 NC State 5 - #1 Kentucky 4
-NC State upsets the hosting Wildcats. They are in the Regional final and await the winner of UK/IU.

RE: Road to Omaha 2017
Clemson. They have to beat UNCG (probable) then Vandy twice (they already lost to Vandy once).
FSU. They have to beat Tenn Tech (they already lost to them once) then Auburn twice.
UNC same deal. They have to beat FGCU, then Davidson twice (they already lost to them once).
NCSU is in a little better position. Winner of Kentucky/Indiana has to beat NCSU twice.
Louisville. Winner of Oklahoma/Xavier has to beat Lousiville twice.
UVA. Only 2 games played in this region. UVa still in winners bracket.
Wake. Winner of WV/MD has to beat them twice.

Clemson, FSU, and UNC have tough roads.
NCSU, Louisville, and Wake in regional finals with zero losses.

It will be tough for Clemson & FSU but doable. NC should have the easier road out of the three taking on a 4 seed. I believe Davidson just ended a longer streak of no championships than the Cubs WS drought. Good for Davidson but the Heels are better.

Cards got lucky that their miscues didn't cost them. It's never good to have to bring in your closer with just 1 out in the 7th, he pulled it through though for the W. On to the winner of the Pack & Cats.

The UNC score was 2-1.

Tough break for UNC. This was supposed to be "the year."

Yes, thank you, that was a typo. Davidson's regional win is certainly up there on all-time NCAA regional surprises.

Only UL, Wake and FSU advance to the sweet 16. I'm rooting for the Cards now to go win it all.

Good luck Cards, Noles & Deacs! Clemson, State & Virginia all had tough regionals. I don't know what happened to the Heels.
