Tell that to Keatts. He burned his bridge here. And it's highly debatable that Bryce is better off being an afterthought at a shittay ACC school than he would be setting records at UNCW. (actually it's not really debatable)

I disagree that he burnt his bridge. He left for an ACC job and a substantial amount of more money. Bryce left to go play for the coach the recruited him and removed himself from the uncertainty that comes with a regime change.

I personally am thankful for the time Keatts and Bryce put it at UNCW and wish them the best moving forward. I would be willing to guess that is the sentiment from the Athletic Dept at UNCW.
Again, ZERO issue with him leaving for ACC job(even though it's a ****** one) that amount of money can't be turned down. And Zero issue with CJ going to a bigger school. I have serious issue with the complete disrespect for the school that gave him a shot by purging it's best player. IMO that is the very definition of burning a bridge. Let's put this in perspective, I leave for a better job on good terms with my boss , then I proceed to steal my bosses best employee to come with me. Pretty sure i'd have "burned that bridge".

You view it is Keatts "stealing" Bryce

I view it as Bryce doing what is best for Bryce.

To each his own.

RE: Transfer
Bryce leaving stung a little. I felt bitter that Keatts took him. But honestly losing Bryce hurts a lot less than losing Cacok would have. Let's move on.

I like our chances next year. We will have experienced guards and a big time post threat. The x-factors for me are Forne's development and the potential athletic post depth offered by Sallah. The kid from CFCC is going to catch some eyes and I have him picked as the biggest surprise impact player. That kid is going to get minutes...write it down.

It will be interesting to see how strong Estime is. His game is a bit similar to CJ. Unfortunately i'm not counting on CaCock until he's actually enrolled in September. I have a crappy feeling he's going to leave us too.

I'm not putting a lot of expectations on the freshman but they could easily surprise me. Cacok could leave but it's very doubtful at this point. If he does, it would not be State. He's better suited in a program that is intentional about getting post touches. C.B. and staff will make the offense run through him in half court sets. I'm guessing he was frustrated at times last year when he had position and no one fed him.

Definitely worth keeping an eye on him.

Btw, his name is pronounced "Jah-KEY". In no way is his first name intended to sound French.
