No TV $$ a blessing in disguise?
Found this link on another conferences home page:

https://www.lewrockwell.com/2017/05/will...ts-bubble/

It lays out in pretty clear terms what is happening to ESPN. It's seems clear the college football $$$ balloon is bursting.
Being the optimist that I can sometimes be, I started thinking "you know, ODU is already set to weather this storm." It's the larger programs that will suffer the most. Maybe our television revenue problems will some day be a blessing in disguise.
I think Selig's economic model is already based on the reality of little to no TV revenue and designed to be sustainable without it.

I felt that way when it came out that the 1mil was not coming in after the last tv contract. When Selig said "we didn't count on having that money anyway, we're still in the black." loosely quoted.

This may trickle down to the amount of guarantee money that P5's give to G5s. We may all lose in this.

Sure helps set a consistent expectation of reasonable start times for games.
