Excuse me?
I was confused about the late announcement of this player's LOI's status. A poster clarified it by stating he has been cleared academically. Initially, he signed, decommitted, and resigned to play football for the Tigers. I can't wait to see him play!! Go Tigers!

I didn't think we would get him after he decommitted in October. Yet, he decided to recommit. Notably, he signed but it became official today.
Goodson was academically cleared today. We have pretty good DT depth this year. He could benefit from 18mo of college weights/conditioning. It is a big jump from HS to NCAA when you play in the trenches. Very few can make that leap.
There are 4 others in limbo: DB Alex Long, DB Malik Smith, DE Elijah Harris, and OL John Dale. Alec is a major talent now. I think the other 3 would be very good players as well, and I'd like to see them all cleared. Continual upgrade in size, speed, and strength.
Thank you for the much needed clarification. I knew he had signed to play for Memphis on national signing day. However, I didn't know he had academic concerns.

My apologies...it was the OP that made the reference "we got a beast" and I agree with him 100%

Hopefully that is a typo. If not he will be too out of shape to play. All services have him 245-255 range.
Obviously, you know nothing about football. 6' 1" 305 is a pretty average size for Division 1 nose tackles. It certainly is possible to be in great shape at that size. 245 - 250 pounds would be way undersized for a major college interior defensive lineman.
And you obviously failed reading comprehension
Gaining 55 pounds in a a couple months is the RED FLAG here. That is close to 2 years worth of weight and nutritional program. Either the services are wrong about his weight or the school is wrong.

"We as coaches get caught up in thinking we can put 20 or 30 pounds of lean muscle on somebody in a year, and a lot of times that's not feasible," Auburn strength and conditioning coach Kevin Yoxall said. "We're not meant to weigh 300 pounds. You've got to look at somebody's frame."

Who cares. We know universities fudge numbers or scouting sites neglect to update player information. They rarely get the offers right with these kids.
Stop being argumentative all the time
