Second season
Starts now. We are 0-0 in the second season. We need to start off with a 4-0 run, followed by a 3-0 run, followed by a 2 game sweep, followed by a 3-0 run, followed by yet another 2-0 sweep.

So, 14 game winning streak is called for. We might get by with something like 16/18.

Good luck to the Owls and Coach Graham. May your skies be blue and may Blue have good eyesight.

Might I offer a set of twenty-four equally optimal solutions of the form W={14,17} and L={0,5}.
Sounds like we're on the same page.
In any case, max(W) and min(L) should be an effective approach.

We may be on the same page but you couldn't prove it by me. I don't speak math.

Just keep winning, Owls!

We get Friday off, too.
Next game at 9:00 AM Saturday against winner of ODU vs FAU.
Another win and we're in the championship game.
GO OWLS!

Rice and Miami continue to be in almost the exact same predicament in an effort to keep their respective post-season streaks alive....

W-L record: 29-26 Miami, 29-29 Rice
RPI: #47 Miami, #50 Rice
SoS/OOC SoS: #16/15 Miami, #10/2 Rice
vs. Top 50: 6-15 Miami, 10-16 Rice
vs. Top 100: 19-22 Miami, 19-23 Rice

...yet most pundits consider Miami on the bubble and Rice way outside the bubble. Go figure.

If I were on the committee I'd have a good look at either of those resumes paired with 30 wins and a tournament finalist cred. Not saying either is likely... but either would be worth campaigning for. Especially the one with the #2 SOS.

RE: Second season
Right or wrong, the issue is that Miami will finish with a winning record even if they don't win the ACC.

If we wanted an at large bid, we should've been able to do better than 4-2 against MT and UAB, not imploded in game 1 of the ODU series, not choked against UH in Sugar Land, scored more than zero runs against Stanford in game 4, etc....

No sympathy if this team doesn't get an at large.

No one's arguing that WE should be considered for an at large; we shouldn't...BUT neither should Miami. That was my point.

Good to see more people back on the bandwagon. those 2 page game threads were sad.

If negative motivation is what it takes to fire the team up, I'll be here all week.
