Being an old timer, I was mildly shocked to see > 80% of all students reside on campus now. Times certainly have changed at UC.

More women than men at UC and Bearcats#1 still couldn't meet a gal

That's only the freshman class, not the whole student population. They only have 7,700 beds on campus, so 80% is literally impossible. Hell, they can't even fit their whole freshman class on campus...we get anywhere between 20-40 kids a year deciding to go to the institution where I work specifically because they are thrown in an off-campus apartment rather than an on-campus residence hall.

I kind of figured that, but still, I think it was 40% or so commuters back in the day.

One of the problems I see for inner city schools is the make-up of the crowd at games I see on TV. The diversity of the crowds for game day comes nowhere close to the campus or city demographics for any of the schools.

I'm not sure how you get that diversity to attend, but all the city schools in this conference have the same problem.
