It hasn't been made official yet, was expected to be announced this morning I guess, but...Nikki McCray-Penson will be the new WBB coach at ODU. She's been an assistant to Dawn Staley at South Carolina for years and is very well thought of. Those of us from Tennessee are, of course, delighted for her, as she is one of ours. She never got a NCAA championship as a Lady Vol (they won the year before she got there and the year after she graduated), but at least she got one with SC as a coach, and she had a solid record as a team player. She also has a very solid coaching record. Be glad ODU is no longer in the CAA!

Hopefully with the change in coaching at ODU we will be able to schedule them again. Coach Brooks said on more than one occasion that ODU, VCU and GMU reused to schedule JMU due to them getting tired of being beaten all the time. With the new people at ODU maybe that will change. Hope so!!
