Memphis business...Say what?
City contracts

This chairwoman of the Greater Memphis Chamber, man, she doesn't seem very good for business. Memphis has a big albatross around its neck. How we ever get things done is surprising to me most times. No wonder Nashville is passing Memphis.

Nashville has the same issues.

Strickland has the same plan as Karl Dean. Large PILOTs for big corporations who are leaving the Northern States.

I don't think any of those companies would be in Nashville without the tax breaks.

Also, the state spent a lot of money to attract those car companies in the 90s. Nashville rise has a lot to do with that infrastructure investment. 840 etc.

I wish people would chill. Memphis is going to boom like every other city in the South. You are going to get sick of all the Yankees.

I didn't read the entire article but did Hardy mention the tax breaks she got when she opened the old brewery on Raines.
