CAA BASEBALL: 2017 Tournament Analysis
Pretty much the most bizarre thing I've witnessed in baseball, at any level.

Wish we had gone with Raquet to start against UNCW tonight

Think Sheehan is the better option. Sheehan gave up 3 in 8 innings against UNCW earlier this season and seems to have pitched better over the last 4 starts than Raquet has. Raquet was 4 in 6 innings against UNCW.

CAA BASEBALL: 2017 Tournament Analysis
Talk about a nightcap with a 10 pm start. UD beat Northeastern, so, loser has to come back in first game elimination against Charleston on Friday. Big game against UNCW regarding any tournament championship hopes, since loser will have to win 5 straight games after that. Winner can take it in just 2 more games.

We struggle against lefties too. Primarily because we have to bench a couple quality lefty hitters and replace them with merely average righty hitters.

I think your coach is making the correct call.

Gotta make for a weird day, play a game at 10 am, then just kill time until the next one at 10 pm

Home Plate ump Greg Walls is calling a big strike zone tonight. No surprise there.

Horrible error by Pearson to allow UNCW to score. With the way Royalty looks, that might be all he needs.

Have to assume Miconi either injured or ill.

So I am reading this correctly that we would need to win three games TODAY to advance to the championship. That's unreasonable. The CAA should push the whole schedule back a little given the way the rain has compacted this schedule.

And the fact that we had the first game of the day yesterday, followed by the last game of the day, and now the first game of the day again. I get that we didn't "earn" a bye with a top-two seed, but the three-seed schedule is pretty horrible. I get you're dealing with mother nature, but you have to know that's part of the plan and build in a couple extra days for that somewhere.

No team is allowed to play 3 games in one day.the 9:30 Game would be moved to Saturday. The championship could end Sunday if the team in winner bracket lost

Raquet would likely have been the tougher opponent for us. Forgot he's a lefty too.

Charleston likes swinging early in counts, somewhat negating Raquet's abilities. He has 4 K's in 2 innings already but Charleston also has 4 hits.

We, meanwhile, try to work the count a lot but still K a bunch.

Our schedule stinks because we lost and are now in a single elimination bracket. Our schedule will really stink if we lose again because we'll be on a bus home. We'll need to throw Raquette and Brown and hope for Powers if we get far
