That is the equivalent of meeting a girl and saying "Do you want to sleep with me?"

Last time I checked dinner, wine, movies, romance, etc. work better.

And, obviously caviar...

Ossetra or Beluga?

Depends on the lady. Beluga has the "name" factor, but might go with the Ossetra.

You forgot the Grey Poupon.
Grey Poupon is just so "commoner".

I recently saw on the main board that they were thinking about splitting CSNbbs into "P5" and "Non-P5" forums. Keeping the theme of separating the haves and have-nots, can we split this thread into recruiting and caviar sections respectively?

No, but I buy mine from a local guy that grows it organic style with a hydroponic water system.

Watch it, Beej may move this to off-topic if we aren't careful.

More G5 posters than P5 so P5 are probably complaining, just a guess.

The link to the thread is below. It is located in CSNbbs / Active Boards / Lounge / College Sports and Conference Realignment and pertains only to that forum. Doesn't seem to be going over too well with the posters there, though some are making some pretty funny posts.

That's one of the only threads I haven't read over there... The "election" thing totally did not interest me.

I absolutely think it's possible. It's not going to be the 5* super stud type, but I think the chance of taking away a kid further down OSU's want list who sees UC a better chance to get early playing time and a spotlight will give Fickell a serious chance to sell him on UC.

And given that OSU is recruiting nationally at a level that they never have done previously, that's going to leave some good high 3*/low 4* talent on the Ohio tree. CLF and UC should absolutely be first choice for that.

I think that's a fair assessment. It's always entertaining to peruse the "comments" sections on these fan-site articles. Some OSU followers, largely ignorant of our program's achievements the past decade plus, make comments so full of condescension that it barely hides a latent insecurity that Ohio may not forever be their private playground. UC is rising. A few were bold enough to suggest that if and when UC gains P5 status, watch out.

I'm not saying OSU folks should feel threatened for football supremacy in the state. But show a little respect (and intelligence) by not lumping Cincinnati in with the MAC schools.

11 warriors is my go-to site for OSU news. The comment section tends to have a higher percentage of "somewhat" reasonable people. Still some solid blind-spots and idiots. One recent commenter was impressed that UC's last three coaches moved on to bigger jobs. He had no idea - not sure how you can be a college football fan and not have at least heard that mentioned at some point.

I try to spread some UC knowledge when appropriate and topical. Most cannot believe that SW Ohio is not OSU country and possibly supports other teams. UC has made a massive marketing investment in central Ohio for the past decade which has started to open some eyes.

Quote:...The last guy to unleash insults at a fan, however, was met with a different reaction. Last November, then-UC coach Tommy Tuberville told a customer to "go to Hell" and "get a job." The response to what Tubs did, including mine, was almost universally anti-Tuberville. Tubs had built up no equity with fans and with most UC supporters turning against him, the line of people coming to the coach's defense was a short one.

Quote:Luke Fickell. Right now, Luke Fickell could stand at intersections near schools and verbally abuse schoolchildren as they crossed the street and I'd be okay with it. Allowed to yell back? Yes.
