Munz saying something about their stud starter RHP who didn't pitch at all against us (injury) might throw against us. What do we know about this pitcher?

I'm assuming this guy as he was projected to pitch against us Thursday I believe but ended up not pitching at all

His 2 complete games were his last 2 starts. Maybe UTSA benched him to save him for game 1 in Biloxi as they had little to nothing to play for against us this past week

Last weekend at Charlotte
CG shutout, 2 hits, 7 k, 2 bb

2 weekends ago at home vs Middle Tennessee
CG win, 2 ER, 6 hits, 5 k, 1 bb

3 weekends ago at Rice
4.1 IP, 4 ER, 5 h, 1 k, 4 bb, no decision

Not a fan of the UTSA draw because it is tough to beat someone 4 games in a row, especially after outscoring them by 26 runs. We didn't get their best arm. He is rested and I promise their coach is using this weekends ass whipping to challenge his guys for this weeks game.
I am a fan of the UTSA draw because if we can get to their bullpen it will be batting practice for us for game 2.

Either way you still have to beat the best to be the best, just ask Daniel Son. One game at a time.

Id rather play a UTSA team that we just beat the hell out of, more than any of the other teams in the tournament.

This should be interesting. Tournaments are obviously a different animal than your typical 3-game series. You have to be more strategic about who you throw and when. I'll be very interested to see how Berry and Co utilize our starters this week.

I was pleased to see that La Tech will be throwing Nate Harris vs Charlotte on Wednesday. Glad they are not saving him fora potential matchup with USM.

I went over to La Tech's board to see what they were saying and their fans were 50/50 on whether he should pitch in game 1 or game 2. The ones wanting him to pitch Wednesday said they need to win game 1 before worrying about game 2. The ones wanting to save him for Thursday say he hasn't started a game 1 all season so why now. Also, La Tech fans are saying to save him for us in game 2 (their pretty confident that both us and them will win Wednesday) as that would give them a better chance of making it to Saturday needing one win to make the championship game which they feel makes them a lock for a regional. They also feel beating us Thursday night would make them a lock and Harris is their best chance of beating us.

Burroughs is along the same line of coaching and strategy as Corky and Scott. I anticipate he will through his best first.
