90k and yes...Greenville is a small city.

if not for ECU, no one would have a clue where Greenville NC is.

In our defense, the same goes for Tuscaloosa, which is similarly sized.

I agree.

and really, it's perspective.

you're talking to people who live in Houston, Philly, Tampa, Orlando, Memphis, New Orleans, etc (AAC fans)...to us Greenville seems small.

go talk to the folks who live in Monroe, Statesboro, or Troy (Sun Belt fans) and they'll tell you Greenville is a big city.

Only if you're someone who went to school or lived here:

every city has it's dumpy areas. I mean, you'll find walls with graffiti, seedy corner stores, and shotgun houses in most every city with a metro population over 1 million...Little Rock, Jackson, St Louis, Nashville...they all have areas like that.

You can drive in some areas of Miami and you would think you are in a the worst neighborhood of a third world country.

Yep, same for Gainesville, Athens...

Hell Auburn, Blacksburg, Oxford and Starkville have a smaller population than Greenville.

Greenville is a small city. It is what it is....you either like the lifestyle or you don't. Certainly enough to keep one entertained, especially if you're creative. I'm in the middle of moving from one of the bigger cities in the U.S. to one in the top 5 in terms of population. I miss the ENC lifestyle.

Ive visited Memphis twice for games. I had a great time both trips. Had one of the best steaks I ever had at a place a few blocks from the stadium, partied my ass off on Beale street and won a couple of hundred at the dog track in West Memphis. I have nothing but good things to say about the city.

I will say, it's nice to be able to drown your post-Liberty Bowl sorrows away in Tunica. We escaped both Kentucky and Arkansas fans there postgame in '08 and '09.

just over the bridge in West Memphis AR Southland 'dog park' has gone and turned itself into a casino...it's kinda nice, and a lot closer than Tunica (esp if you're staying downtown)

Thats the place I won money at when it was a dog track. It was used in the movie "The Firm" as a set. It was raining like hell and I kept winning picking the dogs that weighed the least. Good times.

I hope who ever designed the interior was arrested. I'm dizzy just looking at it.

In the off season? Surely you jest.

More off season junk:
Metro Area Populations
Greenville 177,220
Wichita 644,610
Tulsa 961,561
Storrs (Hartford Metro) 1,206,836
New Orleans 1,268,883
Memphis 1,342,842
Cincinnati 2,165,139
Orlando 2,387,138
Annapolis (Baltimore Metro) 2,798,886
Tampa 2,971,086
Philadelphia 6,070,500
Houston 6,313,158
Dallas 7,233,323

ECU/Greenville wins again. My goal is to move to Davis WV, population 651. When I get there, all of you losers stay away.
