It's 11-3 Eastern. Poor UT pitcher is getting shelled. Mees in his infinite wisdom FINALLY got someone throwing in the bullpen. Mees has to go. It's embarrassing to UT Athletics. How long must we go through this mediocrity?

RE: Baseball
Both baseball and softball failed to make the MAC playoffs. Baseball finished last in the MAC West with the worst overall record in the league, and softball was second to last in the MAC West.

RE: Baseball
As I was leaving the BB Game, I saw Mr. O'Brien and the other Asst. AD who's name escapes me. They were leaving the same time that I was. I just wonder what their conversation was about? We've never been World Beaters in baseball, but, we have had a few shining moments. Perhaps if we upgrade our facilities that we might get some good recruits. If you build it, they will come......

RE: Baseball
Baseball and softball have been and are irrelevant sports at UT, because of geographical location. So who gives a ****? Almost 70% of the season is played on the road for both squads. Why give them new facilities when they are rarely there and do not generate any revenue for the dept.

Drop men's baseball and add outdoor track. Or drop baseball and add wrestling.

Drop baseball and add outdoor track. Good idea.

RE: Baseball
Dropping baseball/softball would save a lot of money since there would be no need for new on campus stadiums. As stated earlier, bring back mens track, and add womans lacrosse...
Possibly with the saved $$$, funds could be allocated for a nice indoor track & field facility which was promised to be a part of the football IPF awhile back...

RE: Baseball
Adding back men's track would save money. Eliminate 3 paid baseball coaches and add one assistant track to a staff that already exists.

Drop baseball and softball, and add men's and women's lacrosse. Jump on lacrosse while it is still young and most of the power 5 schools don't play it.

It's not even mediocrity, it's below that. 11-3 to EMU and they also lose 15-0 on senior day vs. CMU. UT just let the golf coach go, Mee has been here 14 or so years and honest question, has he ever had a winning season? I've said it once and I'll say it again, I'm all for dropping the baseball/softball programs. We're way too far behind the times. Renovate the Glass Bowl instead!

I would be all for putting more $$$ into the GB, but I believe UT is at the minimum of 16 sports ... So we would have to add two, if baseball/softball were eliminated... -
Mens (track, wrestling, soccer, lacrosse, swimming & diving)
Womens (lacrosse, field hockey, crew)
Mens & Womens hockey - a lot of $$$ to implement
