Rush Limbaugh today
Absolutely ripping into Republicans. I've never heard him go off on them like this before. Said something along the lines of ....

"Where's Trump's agenda in congress? Their balls are so small right now they don't need a jockstrap."

I stopped listening to him years ago because I felt he became too much of a mouth-piece for George W. Bush. He has finally woken up on the establishment. Good to hear.

There is no such thing. There is one party with two faces. Good cop, bad cop...and vice-versa.

What you see so gleefully done with Trump are the exact things that would happen to Bernie Sanders.

It isn't so much they are Republican or Democrat, it is because they are not part of the ruling club.

Rush moved away from the establishment a few years back. He has been highly critical of establishment republicans (Lindsey Graham, Mitch McConnell, John McCain, etc.) He never formally "endorsed" anyone in the 2016 election, but reading between the lines he appeared to favor Cruz over and over again.

It will be interesting to see if a new wave of "anti-establishment" Trump-emulators now emerges in the next congressional elections, making the incumbents vulnerable. Regardless of what happens to DT, a new GOP world order seems to have been created.

The politicians will find a way to co-opt the Trump populism and bend it into an acceptable version that is palatable to them and does nothing to threaten the status quo.

I can see Populism votes happening at the state level, but on the national level? (You can argue it happened in a few of them this past election) Nah.. not yet.
